Based in the heart of Cairns, our client - a small boutique finance firm - is looking to recruit an individual with extensive experience working within the very specialised field of taxation. You will be responsible for reviewing and completing business tax returns, BAS and performing general bookkeeping work for a variety of clients, both private and public. In addition you will have the responsibility of overseeing more junior staff and mentoring them with a view to becoming fully qualified accountants.

In order to be successful for this role you will need to:

• have a number of years experience performing tax returns within Australia
• possess relevant qualifications (a degree is a MUST) CPA/CA preferred but not essential
• thrive working in a small team
• possess excellent communication and organisation skills
• be extremely IT literate

This is a full time permanent role and would suit an individual who does not mind working under pressure and longer hours during tax periods and who considers themselves dedicated to their career.
