MIGAS has a fantastic opportunity for you to complete a Certificate 3 in Engineering Mechanical (Fitting and Turning) while working with a company that specialises in marine underwater components and are located at Hemmant.

To be successful you will have:

  • high safety awareness
  • a good degree of mechanical aptitude
  • excellent maths skills
  • computer knowledge
  • good problem solving skills
  • the ability to competently follow detailed work instructions

Some of your job duties will include: Basic machining, use of computer control lathes and milling machines, work shop cleaning, use of an overhead crane to move equipment and basic welding.

Hours are Monday to Thursday: 6:45am to 3:30pm and Friday: 6:45am to 11:45am.

Public transport is limited - Train station is 300m walk, so own car and licence is desirable.
