The Organisation

This business is part of a prominent, national organisation who specialise in mail management solutions using state of the art mailing technology. This in turn facilitates a very strong solution oriented approach based on unique or specific customer needs. They do everything from laser printing, self mailers, plastic wrapping, inserts, folding and graphic design all on site and can cope with large volume orders without having to outsource. An opportunity has arisen for a young and enthusiastic Business Analyst to support the current GM in a range of financial reporting and project based initiatives. The Role

The position is newly created and reports to the General Manager. You will have responsibility for the analysis of results and preparation of financial reports - extending to budgeting, forecasting and general commercial and account processing (acc payable, payroll). You will also provide support to the Operations Manager re activity based costing (ABC) and the detailed review of  operational processes overall. More importantly, you will support the GM in frequent 'ad hoc' projects requiring analysis and reporting as appropriate. You will be proactive in identifying trends and⁄or anomolies in information and processes to facilitate business  decisions made by the General Manager.

The Person

You will have around 3-4 years experience in a similar analyst role and be familiar with the preparation and analysis of financial reports.  Whilst its not critical you are qualified, it would be an advantage. The successful candidate will possess very strong communication and presentation skills because you will be liaising at all levels and be asking direct questions to facilitate the gathering of information which impacts on financial decisions. The ability to demonstrate your experience in ABC by way of discussing examples will be a  distinct advantage.
