About the Organisation This financial services organisation, headquartered in Australia, deals in the areas of corporate advisory, securities and investment management. Owing to expansion, a newly created position exists for an experienced Technical Business Analyst to join the team on a permanent basis. Key Responsibilities You will be working with business and IT stakeholders to implement technical solutions across multiple projects and initiatives - the primary focus being on the operations/post-execution trade processing department. You will analyse and model complex current and future business operations effectively and make process improvement recommendations as appropriate. While the role will have a strong functional focus, you will also need to be skilled with the interrogation of MS Access databases, running macros and low-level Visual Basic. Your communication skills will be key as you will need to liaise with technical and non-technical business units, both in Sydney and also in other regional centres. Key Skills and Requirements We are seeking applicants with the following skills and experience:- - A minimum of five years' experience as a Business Analyst in the financial services sector;
- Specific understanding of some or all of the following business areas within investment banking - Operations, Treasury, Proprietary Trading and Market Risk;
- Experience developing and maintaining Access databases/running macros;
- Strong experience with MS Access, Macros, Visual Basic and Scripting;
- Excellent communication skills
