An exciting opportunity has become available for a Web Java Developer to join an organisation that's a NSW household name. Reporting to the team leader, you will work collaboratively with the Java and Web teams to develop robust IT solutions.

The Role:

• Produce and develop high quality code in accordance with the organisation's standards and processes
• Testing activities
• Bring solutions into a Continuous Integration environment where possible
• Give advice/offer suggestions on technical approach and solution options
• Coordinate implementation activities with other technical teams
• Review the work of peers
• Ensure solutions are meeting client requirements

Your Background:

• Demonstrated experience in web based application development using Java
• Strong knowledge around Object Oriented concepts and the ability to apply them during development
• Ability to provide guidance as well as listen to the opinions of team members
• Experience in frameworks such as Spring and Hibernate
• The ability to critically assess solution options
• Adaptable skills and the ability learn different development tools
• Ideally you will also have knowledge/exposure to Agile tools and methods including Scrum, Test Driven Development and Continuous Integration. Exposure to the full development life cycle and ability to critically review and assess development processes will also be favourable.
