Data Architect, Information Architect, data management, data flow

As a well established organisation, our client has a strong reputation for being very customer centric and providing innovative solutions to their clients across Hosting, Managed Services, as well as traditional Telco services. The Data Architect is a newly created role with responsibilities for the development of data management standards and methodology. You will be responsible for designing an MDM solution which will involve database design, mapping and working on key projects focussing on data quality, modelling data flows and relationships. Working with Integration and Software Architects in your team, you will develop the data management methodology and standards, defining views of data, and participating in definitions for common reference data. Your input will also include elimination of unnecessary movement of data and improvement of its quality, as well as reviews of interfaces, and development of physical data models from existing logical data models. To qualify for this role, you will need a proven track record in successful implementation of enterprise data management processes and tools, and familiarity with meta data management tools. Your technical background will also include: OO and relational data modelling skills SQL, XML, UML TM Forum SID would be highly regarded. Needless to say, you will have extensive knowledge of data governance, integration, security and master data, and excellent communication and analytical skills.
