A leading telecommunications provider based in the South Eastern Suburbs are seeking a strong Project Manager for an initial 6 month contract.  

The primary purpose of the role will be to project manage the deployment of all 3G/2G sites. This will suit a candidate who has Telco deployment regulatory experience, acquiring new sites, lease negotiation with land owners etc.

Responsibilities for this position will include but not be limited to:

• Project manage the deployment of all 3G/2G sites allocated, including any In-Building Solutions, Repeaters, Strategic & Corporate sites & Network Re-arrangements assigned.
• Represent the organisation at meetings with vendors, legal representatives, landowners, councils and other governmental authorities.
• Work with Radio Access Engineering to determine the best infrastructure solutions to resolve capacity/coverage/capability issues.
• Manage the vendor interface with Site Acquisition, Design and Construction vendors, including the raising of Purchase Orders and the processing of variations and invoices.

The successful candidate should have the following:

• Formal qualification in Telecommunications/Construction/Site Acquisition or Town Planning.
• Significant experience in telecommunications and project financial management
• Experience with liaising with Vendors and both internal and external customers.
• Excellent communication skills
• Experience working in large multi-functional project teams, preferably in a telecommunications deployment environment
• Experience working with property planning would be considered advantageous
