The Anglican Diocese of Melbourne comprises over 200 Parishes in metropolitan Melbourne and Geelong. Their innovative Anglican National Insurance Program (ANIP) actively manages the insurance needs of Melbourne parishes, as well as 22 Dioceses nationally.

Reporting to the GM of Business Services and being accountable to the member partners of ANIP, you will head the day-to-day management of the ANIP, and will have full responsibility for Risk Assessment, Risk Management, Purchasing and Claims Administration for each participating Diocese, and affiliated church entities, schools and agencies. Furthermore, you will be an internal advocate and advisor for the ANIP members, assisting these entities to participate, understand and make the most of the program.

Management of a small team which provides customer service, manages claims and liaises with brokers/insurance companies is part of the role. Travel to regional Victoria and interstate will be required as you build and manage relationships with participating Parishes.

We are looking for an exceptional candidate who can demonstrate:

• a significant background within the insurance industry in a senior leadership role
• Senior Associate, or better, status with ANZIIF
• strong ability in risk assessment and risk management
• exceptional communicator with a proven track record in building and maintaining customer relationships in diverse settings
• solid understanding and demonstrated involvement in the claims process
• a shared ethos with Anglican Church values, with a background in faith based organisations a distinct advantage
