We are seeking to employ a permanent full time Mechanical Engineer for our Seven Hills premises as our Engineering Manager.

You will be reporting to the Operations Manager and will be responsible for overseeing the day to day activities and training of 2 Line Setters and responsible for running the entire engineering department including the maintenance, fault finding and major breakdowns production machines and equipment, building maintenance and the HVAC system.

Some of your responsibilities will include;
- Providing technical assistance, leading, managing and training the Line Setters to operate efficiently and effectively.
- Responding quickly to fault finding, breakdowns and repairs.
- Plan, Execute & Manage the Preventative Maintenance System.
- Experience with Installation and Commissioning of new machinery and equipment.
- Maintaining the HVAC System.
- Purchase and Manage the spare parts and tooling for the workshop.
- Understanding of PLC Programming, servo drives, electrical diagrams, pneumatics diagrams and mechanical applications.
- Illustrate, analysis and interpret mechanical drawings.
- Identify, plan and manage process improvements on site.
- Involvement in OH&S on site.
- Ability to complete Documentation & Records Management.

To be considered for this position you will have;
- Qualifications as a Mechanical Engineer (Fitter & Maintenance)
- Previous employment background working as a Mechanical Engineer with experience in the pharmaceutical or allied industry.
- Knowledge of the TGA (Therapeutic Goods Administration).
- Good Time Management & Leadership Skills.
- Proactive & Analytical.
- Have the ability to develop, implement systems and processes and review existing Standard Operating Procedures.
- Electrical Reconnect & Disconnect Licence and advantage.
