Due to continual year on year growth, we are now seeking a highly experienced and commercially savvy Category/Business Development Manager to continue to deliver exceptional service levels within the organisation. Reporting to the Merchandising Manager, you will be responsible for the ongoing organic growth of the business through researching new technologies, managing supplier and product negotiations, developing strategic business plans and sales strategies that will reach and exceed financial objectives and customer service KPI's.
To be successful in this role you will be a dynamic and ambitious self starter, with exceptional communication and negotiation skills. You will have the proven track record of managing business critical accounts and vertical category markets through your ability to communicate and influence a range of internal and external stakeholders. A background in Retail Buying within a technology driven FMCG environment will be a distinct advantage in this position as it will give you the breadth of experienced required across many facets of the organisation including product development, category management, procurement, contract negotiation and implementing and driving sales strategies.
Also key to the success in this position will be your ability to demonstrate: Exceptional interpersonal skills
Proven experience within a category management position
High attention to detail
Ability to collate and present market information at executive level
Computer literacy (Word, Excel and Powerpoint)
Ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision
