Job Description

As a Department Manager you will be responsible for managing a large team of product specialists. A major focus of this role is to lead, motivate and develop your team to increase sales and productivity in your department whilst keeping to the high level of customer service the brand commands. You will have complete control over the merchandising of stock in your department allowing you to utilise your amazing VM skills.

Key responsibilities:

• Day to day operations of a high turn over/fast paced department.
• Live and breath the brand and their company values
• Meeting and exceeding set KPIs
• Accountable for loss prevention and stock take results
• Training and developing staff for future promotions
• Implementing and maintaining exceptional standards in all areas of customer service

The Successful Applicant

We are looking for an ambitious and innovative leader to develop and continue the growth of a winning team.

You will have:

• Experience in leading and motivating a team of a minimum of 7-10 product experts
• Proven success in managing a department/team with high turnover ($5 - $10 million)
• A passion and flair for visual merchandising
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
• Passionate about the learning and development of staff
• Outstanding customer service skills
• Strong knowledge of staff rostering, stock ordering and replenishment
• Loss prevention focus and understanding
